Meet Stacy.

MA Counselling Psychology, Registered Psychotherapist
PTS, RYT, RT

We all experience times of change, whether it be from injury, chronic illness, loss of a loved one, career shift or job loss, the end of a relationship, or a shift in our needs and desires. These moments of transition can be immensely powerful, but potentially filled with overwhelming uncertainty, ambivalence and difficulty moving forward, grief, and challenges that might seem insurmountable. I specialize in helping clients through these transition points. Using a client-centered and strengths-based approach, I work collaboratively with my clients to explore and address what are often layered intersectional concerns ranging from depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, chronic pain, and self-confidence.

I have experience working with both individuals and couples addressing a wide range of concerns including anxiety and anxiety disorders (gad, ocd, phobias), depression, grief, difficult life transitions, relationship issues, and low self-esteem. Additionally, I specialize in chronic illness and chronic pain. Through lived experience and study, I have developed a deep understanding of the complex interplay between physical health and psychological well-being. My approach is rooted in a biopsychosocial model, recognizing that chronic health conditions (including diabetes, autoimmunity, heart disease), not only affect the body but also deeply impact mental, emotional, and social wellbeing. Central to my practice is assisting individuals and couples in navigating the emotional journey of living with a chronic health condition or pain. I offer a safe and empathetic space for clients to explore their feelings and concerns.

As a therapist I utilize an eclectic, trauma-informed and multi-disciplinary approach grounded in evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, narrative and mindfulness based therapies, as well as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). With a background that includes over a decade in recreation therapy, yoga, personal training and coaching, I integrate aspects of diet, movement and behavioral change to support comprehensive whole body growth and wellness.

Currently I offer remote accessible virtual therapy services through tele-health (phone or video) which you can access from the comfort of your own home. I am happy to meet with you and arrange a free 20-minute consultation to discuss your needs, determine if it is a good fit to work together, or provide a referral to additional services. See “Get Started” for more info on booking and rates.
